Which balls to juggle--A Gabby Mom Review

This month for my Gabby Mom review, I was asked to review the MP3 entitled Just Say No by Lorrie Flem. Those of us who remember the '80s surely recall Nancy Reagan's program to Just Say No to Drugs, so I was intrigued by what Lorrie was going to tell me to say no to!!

Lorrie Flem's of Eternal Encouragement recording promises to teach us how to pick which balls to juggle in our life. I think she succeeds in giving us some wonderful guidelines on how and why to say "no" to certain activities. Some of the things she mentions, I already knew. I'm sure some of the things she mentions, you already know. There are times, however, knowing and doing are two different things, and it's always great to have someone you respect tell you that it's the right thing to do!

Of course, you'll need to listen to get all the information yourself, but here are just a few comments from the MP3 to whet your appetite.

Figure in preparation time.
Keep in mind "brain space".
Leave unscheduled time for your children.
Short-term vs. long-term commitments.
Treat time like money.
Lineup what you do with what your beliefs.
Schedule time for relationships.

As Lorrie points out, stay-at-home moms are often asked to to do more since we there is the assumption that we have more time, so learning to say no in the right way for the right reasons is an important skill. And it's nice to have someone even tell you that
it's okay to say no.

My Ministry--A Gift of God's Grace

Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. (Ephesians 3:7, ESV)

When I read this verse, I thought about Paul's ministry and the challenges he faced. I'll let him tell it in his own words.

Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. (2 Cor. 11:25-27, ESV)

Definitely sounds challenging. Yet he believed being a minister to the Gentiles was a gift of God's grace. A minister is a servant or waiter. Most wouldn't consider a calling as a servant a great gift. In fact, it's not just a gift but a gift of grace. In other words, this gift is undeserved. He didn't even deserve to be a servant.

Then I considered me. I was made a minister to my family. I serve my family. I definitely face challenges in this ministry but thankfully none like Paul's!! This role to minister to my family is a gift of God's grace. I don't deserve to serve them, but God gifted me with this ministry.

Too often, the world tries to tell us that our roles as wife and mother are a curse or a trap. Sometimes we believe them. Instead, I'm going to choose to consider this ministry I have as a gift of God's grace. Thanks for the gift, Father!

Wow, I guess I would choose George Washington. His character speaks across the years.

Hmm, I usually say anywhere I don't have to cook is my favorite. When you say restaurant, I leave out fast food, so I say Olive Garden.

Give me grapefruit scent but take the taste. LOVE oranges. In fact, I think I'll grab a Cutie right now! (I had two because this are REALLY small.)

You're supposed to clean your closet? I thought the closet was where you put everything to hide it after you clean the room!

I heard Martin Luther was a hoot around the dinner table. If I include is wife, Katherine Von Bora, would they count as two or one since they were married? Besides, she really needed a meal served to her after taking care of all Luther, all their children and all his students! Okay, so I'm going to count them as one. (It's my imaginary table!)

Then I'll add Helen Keller, but of course, Anne Sullivan would have to come along to translate.

Lastly, I would like Ronald Reagan, but he could leave Nancy at home. She kind of gives me the hebby jeebies.

7. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your ability to parallel park?

There was a time when I was a good 8.5 because that was the kind of parking we had at our home. I'm a bit rusty now.

February is Dental Health Month

I thought it might be good to mention that February is Dental Health Month on the day after all the Valentine candy has been eaten! We didn't do candy this year. We bought mija new bedding instead of the usual treats. I figured less sugar and it would last longer! Mija and I did make my hubby a dump cake which is one of his favorites.

Anyway, dental health month.

I thought I'd share a few resources with you.

A Valentine Story--My Grandparents.

On February 12, my grandparents would have been married 84 years. What was really interesting was that they had married each other 4 times but had never divorced each other.

I'd thought I'd tell their story today on Valentine's Day.

My grandparents were married in 1928. My grandmother was 18, and this was her second marriage. Yup, 18 and second marriage. Her family life was terrible, so she married when she was 15 to escape, had a son at 16, and divorced at 17.

My grandfather was 26. He, too, had been married previously. They had had three children before their marriage ended.

When my grandfather sat eyes on my grandmother, he was determined! There was some hesitancy, however, because prejudice was high, and a Mexican man with a "gringa" girl would be highly frowned upon by both groups. It didn't stop my grandfather, however. In fact, my grandmother said that when my grandfather had finally tired of her ignoring him, he drove his Model T up onto the sidewalk in front of a store she was in, so she couldn't go anywhere but in his car when she left!

It obviously worked. My grandfather learned English and my grandmother learned Spanish during their courtship. My grandparents raised me, and I frequently heard my grandpa speaking in Spanish and my grandma answering him in English.

They were married in a civil service in 1928. That was the first time they married!

Then, they found out my grandmother's divorce from her first husband had never been finalized. So, after that was finalized, they married again. That was number two!

Unbelievable but true, they next found out that my grandfather's divorce had never been finalized. Another divorce, finalized. A third time married.

My great-grandmother (my grandfather's mom) never liked her "gringa" daughter-in-law. In fact, she had even sought a witch's help to try and get rid of her...that's another interesting set of stories. My great-grandmother kept telling them that they were never really married because they hadn't been married in a church. She had said that my grandmother was merely "a patch" attached to my grandfather.

So, marriage number 4 was in a church.

They never divorced each other but married each other 4 times!

Just in case you might wonder what happened to them, I thought I'd share that, too.

My grandfather died in December 1985. He had become very senile and had come to a point where he couldn't take care of himself. Both my grandmother and grandfather's pride prevented them from letting me take care of him, so he was in a nursing home when he passed away.

My grandmother had congestive heart disease which made her bedridden. We kept her in the living room, so she could continue to be part of the action when she wasn't hospitalized. She died 4 weeks to the day after my grandfather did.

Just about a month shy of their 58th wedding anniversary.

Happy Valentine's Day.

We're having a SNOW DAY!!

In our area, this winter has been "the winter that wasn't." We've averaged temperatures in the 50s and less than an inch of snow the whole season.

Well, today we got our first real snow of 2-3 inches. For those who know snow, you know that's not an extravagant amount. In fact, some of the grass still shows through. But when you haven't had any snow, it's a big deal!

SO IT'S A SNOW DAY!

The Non-Suzy Q Homemaker Tip

I'm not a great housekeeper. I wouldn't even consider myself a good housekeeper. Recently, however, I found a trick that has helped me, and I thought I'd share it with you.

Most of you probably have no issue with this, so don't laugh at me. Okay?

I've started making my bed. Yes, I making my bed. It was never a big deal while I was growing up. Then when I got married, my hubby worked second or third shift the frequently, so it seemed futile to make the bed. Just close the door. No one will see.

My hubby likes the bed made, however. So, I started making the bed to please my husband in honor of our 23rd anniversary. I know, about time.

I knew it had to be easy, or I wouldn't do it. Also, stretching and bending to fold the comforter also hurts my back, and then there was the question of where to put it once it was folded. You see, I can't just fold down the comforter and leave it on the bed because my feet demand freedom! I have to be able to stick my feet out from under the covers and I move A LOT.

Now we have a bed with a foot board. This couldn't be done without a foot board.

First I have the bed. I take the extra pillows and put them on the back of the headboard.

Then I take the comforter and I fold half way down.

Lastly, I fold it down one more time making sure it's removed from the bed and hanging "pretty."

There you go. Just reverse the process to make the bed. It's so easy and not too hard on my back. Even mija can make my bed this way!

Now, what can I start doing to please my husband for our 30th anniversary! ;-)

A Rare Visit from the Grammar Police--Just "You and I"

I know at some point in your life a teacher or parent drilled the use of "I" into your head.
It probably went something like this:

"Hey, mom. Me and Tommy are going to the park."
"That's Tommy and I are going to the park."
"You mean you and Tommy are going to park?'

Okay, maybe not quite like that, but you learned you were supposed to use "I" and it was to come after the other person.

Now, I'm climbing my little soap box.

It's not always so.

If it's the subject of the sentence, then the nominative case pronoun should definitely be placed last after a list of nouns or pronouns. In other words, yes, when it comes at the beginning of the sentence, please use the word "I" second.

BUT, then even the most well-meaning English speaker sometimes, okay frequently, carry it too far. They start slipping that "I" where a "me" needs to be. When it's in a prepositional phrase, then it's the objective case pronoun you need. Instead of, "They took it from Sam and I," it should be "The took it from Sam and me."

Here's a general, very simplistic, guide. If it's at the beginning of a sentence, use "I.' If it's somewhere else in the sentence, use "me."

Okay, I will now step down from my soap.

I would like to think so. However, I don't want to be merely "in love with love" but purposeful encouragement of my relationship with my husband. I think there's a difference.

The best-laid schemes o' mice an 'men---Homeschool style

I so love Robert Burns. It's so cool how he could put the Scottish dialect in writing like he did. And boy, did he hit it on the head when he wrote, "The best-laid schemes o' mice an 'men gang aft agley."

That's what happened at our home today (Monday).

My hubby has been teaching my daughter astronomy. I came across a cool idea of making the solar system using glue, embroidery thread, and balloons. AWESOME!! Right?
{sigh}
It started out great.

Time was spent with daddy review the planets and sun and their relative sizes.

It was easy enough to blow up one balloon. In fact, she's learned to tie them herself.

But there were a lot of balloons to blow up. Ten balloons because we also did the sun and Pluto because if Pluto was good enough to be a planet for Mommy and Daddy when we were little, it's good enough to be a planet now!

And doing the creative process of deciding which colors to use was okay.

The problem started when we started to make them. First, I didn't take into account that mija doesn't like her hands to be "dirty" for extended periods of time, and I was asking her to stick her fingers in watered-down glue to wrap thread around ten balloons.

Well, we managed to get three done before we ran out of glue. The fact I didn't take into account how much glue we had helped our scheme "gang agley."

So this is what it looked like when we got done.

But they didn't stay that way. The thread started not sticking before long. Being out of glue, I attempt to fix Mars using the old-fashioned flour and water mixture. By suppertime, this is what we had.

Who knows what they'll look like in the morning! In the meantime, my table looks even more cluttered than usual. I've pondered what went wrong. Here are some of my possibilities.

The glue was too watery.
The planets were too big.
We should have used yarn instead of embroidery thread.
We didn't use enough thread.
I shouldn't have cut the string into long segments but left it whole.
I could go on and on.

I was smothered in the negative of everything and considering what I would blog about since I obviously wasn't going to be able to brag about our project! Thankfully, I realized there were a few good things that came as a result.

We had some fun family time for one thing. She also had an opportunity to review the planets and facts about them like sizes, gaseous vs terrestrial, etc.

She also got some exercise.

And she also did some science discovery on her own comparing the speed of a larger balloon compared to a smaller balloon. We did some Socratic questioning about that!

So, we'll see what tomorrow brings. The solar system may be coming to an end, who know! My best-laid plan went all "agley" on me, but there were some good things that still came out of it.

Ephesians Bible Study--Poem or Tapestry

I've been going through the book of Ephesians with The Good Morning Girls study.
Yesterday the verse to study was Ephesians 2:10.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

There's a lot in this verse, but what really sticks out to me is the word "workmanship." In the original Greek, the word is "poiema." It means "a product often of fabric" and is the word we get "poem" from.

Sometimes, the work "workmanship" reads sterile to me. But if I consider that I am a tapestry that God has woven or a poem he has composed, it shows me how beautiful and creative He made me. He made me that way for a purpose. He wants me to complete the things He's already planned for me to do. I don't have to come up with new ideas; God already determined what my good works are to be. I just need to recognize them. I need to be a beautiful and creative opus produced for good works!

We've been using CurrClick for awhile. Of course, there are all the cool downloads, but now there are also online classes and clubs. Mija has really enjoyed them and frequently asks when her next one is!

One of the most recent club she "attended" is also one of the newest. It is the NHBA club, otherwise known as, the National Homeschool Book Award Club. Yes, there is a National Homeschool Book Award.

The meeting is on the last Thursday of each month. It lasts about an hour and included discussion and activities. One book is covered over a two month period so there is plenty of time to read it. We didn't even get half way through through the first book before the first meeting and mija fit in fine.

The format was really great. Small segments of the hour were broken down into comprehension questions, discussion, a project, and topical learning. I also liked it because there were times when the teacher actually shut off the chat box, so the attendees had to pay attention to what she was sharing and couldn't...well...chat.

The book for January and February is Every Soul a Star by Wendy Mass. We've been reading it aloud as a family. It was actually a great book for us at this time because we've been doing astronomy for science. I really like subject integration like that!! In fact, the project in January was making a star wheel.

They also discussed labyrinths in the book and in the club. As a result, we went to a local labyrinth to check it out. You can find a labyrinth, too, at

World Math Day--March 7, 2012

We really like World Math Day and the Mathletics website. I shared about it a couple of years ago HERE. It's designed for ages 4-18. This year, they are even adding an adult age category!

You compete in 60 second rounds against either the computer or other players from around the world. To me, that is one of the coolest parts. During the day, you usually run into players from the States or Canada, but later in the day and evening, you start playing Australians and Chinese students! It's run to learn geography and math at the same time.

I can also say that this is the one math site of which mija never grows tired! The practice month and World Math Day are free. The practice month starts today, February 1, but you can start anytime this month or only for the World Math Day. I suggest using it for all its worth while it's free! A couple of days after World Math Day, the site will return to being fee based. They do, however, usually offer a nice discount to those who participated in World Math Day.

Something new they are also doing is World Spelling Day on March 6th. We've never done that before, but all the information about it looks similar. Practice sign up for that starts today, Feb. 1, as well. We might try that this year, too.

Come join the fun! Who knows? Maybe we'll all end up playing together!

Over a year ago, I wrote a status on FaceBook about the difference between public education and home education. I meant it as a semi-joke, but also a commentary on the two systems.

Boy, I didn't realize the can of worms I was opening!

One of my old friends from high school took it VERY personally. I tried to assure her I wasn't speaking specifically about her children or her choice. I said that every parent has to decide between them and God what is best for their children. I even asked if we could just "agree to disagree."

She un-friended me. :-(

But one of her comments has hung around and just goes to prove how little most know about home education. She said something to the effect of just because we do our schooling around the kitchen table doesn't mean it's better or make us "holier than thou."

Well, at least she didn't think I had a desk set up. I know many homeschoolers have a "classroom" with desks and such for doing school. That's cool if it works for them. I dare say most of them don't limit themselves to just that one room though. Personally, we tend to be a little more casual throughout our day.

I thought I'd share some pictures of learning taking place. Some are recent; some are not. I'd love to see how it compares with your day!

Okay, so some of the day is spent at the kitchen table. And yes, these happy expression are staged! It's not always quite this exciting.

Doing some math with her little brother Pancho. She also climbed under the table to listen to me do some reading.

Doing some language with her brothers. I'm okay with different locations as long as work gets done and penmanship/neatness doesn't suffer.

Here she's reading Charlotte's Web. Of course, Pancho and ChiChi are usually nearby. They love their big sister! ;-)

She's attending an online club at CurrClick.com. I'm not sure why she has Mick Jagger lips.

We've used sidewalk chalk to practice spelling words.

Sometimes it just happens. She discovered this katydid on our porch and we later researched it.

There's nothing like learning by doing! Her 5-cup salad/ambrosia has become a regular at family gatherings.

Of course, field trips rock!

Me. I weigh way too much.

Wow. There was so much going on. I was taking care of my elderly and extremely ill grandparents while doing my senior year.

4. Coconut-mashed potatoes-vanilla ice cream-mayonnaise...which white food would be the hardest to give up?

Coconut could go. Mashed potatoes are great but not a necessity. Mayonnaise, well, I guess I could use ketchup. SOOOO...DRUMROOLL...The hardest white food for me to give up would be vanilla ice cream.

5. Describe an incident or a day you remember as the coldest you've ever experienced?

I know I have been though colder times than this one, but the one that always comes to mind is my wedding weekend. IT WAS SO COLD!!! Of course, it was plenty warm once we got to the hotel...wink, wink!

6. You're hosting a brunch...what's your favorite dish to prepare and serve?

Really? I'm hosting a brunch? I'd be much more likely to help or co-host. I think some of the easiest and yummy brunch kind of things are mini muffins, bagel, fruit salad. Maybe some kind of baked omelet casserole thing.

7. How do you combat negative thinking?

Oh, you're supposed to combat it? Maybe it's not negative thinking. Maybe it's realistic thinking. No, I really do try to combat it (sometimes!) Bringing Scripture to mind helps because it's not me saying it but God.

Today I learned the difference between a maze and a labyrinth. A labyrinth has only one way in and then you come back out the same way. Only one path. A maze, on the other hand, has various ways to go and dead ends.
So, then I have questions about the whole Minotaur and labyrinth myth. Everyone was supposed to get lost in the labyrinth which is why Theseus used the yarn when he went in. You wouldn't get lost in a labyrinth. You'd get lost in a maze.
Yes, I actually think about things like this.

Mija was so excited when she saw the advertisement on our local PBS station. They are having a writing contest for children kindergarten through third grade. It's being sponsored by the local PBS stations; you can check HERE for your local station to see if they are participating.

The child writes and illustrates their own stories. You can read some of winners from last year HERE.

We are definitely taking part in this. What an opportunity to practice such skills as story telling, grammar, spelling, etc within an activity that she is initiating herself!

Proverbial Reading--Pro. 31:31

I mentioned on My Reading List that our adult Sunday School ladies were going through The Excellent Wife: A Biblical Perspectivewhich, of course, means reading Proverbs 31!
I read through the passage everyday for a month a couple of years ago. It was great! In fact, it's why I started couponing!
I was reading it again, and the very last verse was convicting. (I know. The whole thing can be convicting, but I'm choosing to focus on one convicting thing at a time!)

Proverbs 31:31 "Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates."

That's something I'm considering today as I teach my daughter, do the laundry, feed my family, dust the living room, etc. Would the quality of the works I'm doing give me praise? Praise is a very exciting word in the Hebrew. It means "to shine, make a show, cause to celebrate, et al. Would my dishes make me dance? Would my clean potty cause a party? Probably not, but I need to work as if it would.

And if I were given the fruit of my hands, would my hands be full or empty? The Hebrew word hand here means an open hand indicating power, means, direction, etc. Would the amount of effort, energy and focus I use warrant me having a gain or just getting by?

Well, that's what I was pondering and praying about. It definitely made a difference as I worked my way through the day!

Most remember the importance of the Puritans when it came to the founding of the American colonies. In fact, Alexis de Tocqueville, the French wrote that Puritanism was the very thing that provided a firm foundation for American democracy.

Puritans also have given us great theology. They gave us John Bunyan and his work Pilgrim's Progress. But don't stop there. Desiring God's blog recently provided a list of Puritans and their works. Check it out if you'd like to learn more both historically and spiritually!

Accreditation vs. Education. Parents in the KCMO school district need to grow up.

I live in the Kansas City area. The big thing that's been in all the news is the fact that the Kansas City Public School District has lost it's accreditation. It just took effect January 1, so now there is an attempted mass exodus to neighboring school districts.

I just have a few questions for those parents. "What are you thinking? Where have you been? What's more important to you?"

Whew. I feel better getting that off my chest.

I mean really. Their children haven't been educated well for quite awhile, but it takes the state removing the accreditation before they are willing to do something? Why is it the state's job to recognize their children's needs?

And what is educational accreditation anyway? The state sticking it's nose into things which are the parents' responsibility? This whole idea of state accreditation has only been around for the past 50-60 years. Some how, people throughout past millenia survived (and even thrived) without having attended an accredited school.

In fact, I graduated from a non-accredited, Christian School. I went right into college with no issue. And that was back in the mid-80s!! Lord willing, I will educate our daughter through high school. She will have an unaccredited education. Am I worried? No way!

Why?

Because she will have an education. That's what is important. That's what the KCMO parents are misunderstanding. What their children need is not accreditation; it's education.

1. A new Miss America was crowned on Saturday night-did you watch? If you were a contestant what would your talent be?

I did not watch on Saturday. I used to watch all the time, but am hesitant now because of my daughter. I don't have a problem with a "beauty" contest, but the swimsuit round bother me. I'm trying to teach modesty, so watching a show where girls are graded on how they look in an immodest bikini seems counterproductive.

I actually have a few talents that work well on stage! I'd probably sing.

2. Do you have houseplants? Real or fake?

I currently have one living plant and one fake plant. I'm hoping to get one of those cool bamboo plants for Valentine's Day. {Hint. Hint. Nudge. Nudge.}

3. When you were in school did you speak up or were you more of the hide your face, avoid eye contact, and pray the teacher didn't call on you type of student?

I will have to admit that generally I was a teacher's pet which means I raised my hand often and actually went out of my way to talk to my teacher. Yes, sometimes I even asked for extra things to do.

4. Next Monday marks the Chinese New Year...what do you order when someone suggests Chinese food?

Recently, my choice has been Yu-Hsiang Pork, but asking for it not spicy. It's the best of both worlds...pork and veggies.

5. How would you define a miracle? What would it take for you to consider something a miracle?

Simply, a miracle is something could only happen because God intervenes. The only thing it takes for me to believe in miracles is to believe God's Word, but it helps when you see Him doing something, too!

I can't just pick one. The one I've been thinking about recently is "I've Got a Dream" from Tangled.

Gabby Moms Review--Serenity for you Soul Newsletter

I'm continuing with the Gabby Moms program this year. The program allows me to review products for Eternal Encouragement. I've been blessed to be sure!

Now, there are many more things shared each week and many are little longer and some are a little shorter, but all are well worth the read. You even get helpful hits like using Dawn dish soap to shower with because the label reads, "Dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove"!!!

That's another blessing. Lorrie's humor and humility. She's always there with you.

I did review the newsletter last year as well. There have been a couple of changes since then and they are for the better. First, the name has changed to the current one which is nice. Second, the format has changed, so I find it much easier to read. Now, if she'd only bring back "Spurgeon Speaks" I'd be completely happy!

The middle of the week in which we start back schooling seemed like a perfect time for a field trip to PetSmart. By field trip, I don't mean just looking around. We actually went as a group and had an employee give us a tour.

Here are some picture mija took of the expedition.

Of all the fish, she took a picture of the plain, ole' gold fish!

Yummy crickets for lizards and such.

Yes, she did remember that frogs were amphibians.

Bird is the word.

She eventually handed me the camera. We weren't allowed to take pictures of the cats because they were in "the system." They were from the animal shelter.

The star of the day was Nana. Another homeschool mom brought her in to show her obedience training. She was such a sweet (a slobbery) dog!

We followed PetSmart with Chick-fil-a. Yes, mija ate all her chicken and most of her fruit before going to play. We then went to them mall and walked around.

All in all, a good day. Any field trips coming up for you?

Hmmmm...words/phrases to be banished. I can't think of any to be banished, but my book group added a new one today. Spewy referring to Rev 3:16 "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." You don't want to be spewy.

2. Are you easily embarrassed?

Nope. I usually do the embarrassing!

3. What is your go-to snack?

I like apple slices and peanut butter.

4. Have you ever been to Washington D.C.? If not do you have any desire to go? What site/attraction would you most want to see in that city? If you have been, what's your favorite site/attraction?

Yes, I've been to Washington D.C. We went for our Senior Trip. Yes, Washington D.C. actually existed clear back when I was in high school!

I really loved being to be in places that you hear about everyday on the news. Some of the places we visited were the White House, the Capital, the FBI, Lincoln Memorial, and Washington Memorial. I could spend a week in the Smithsonian Museums. The place that was my favorite was the most moving. It brings prideful tears to my eyes even as I write this. It was the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.

5. sit ups-planks-lunges-squats...which do you hate the least?

You mean I'm supposed to hate one less than the others. I'm an equal-opportunity hater.

6. What's a small act of kindness you were shown that you've never forgotten?

My husband marrying 23 years ago on Jan. 6, 1989.

7. Have you ever been a blood donor?

Yes, I have. I can't now, unfortunately.

Cutie Box from Oranges to Organizatioin

We love to eat Cuties this time of year. Do you know Cuties? They are yummy little Mandarin oranges. They are known to be extremely easy to peel.

They also come in a cute box. I decided to use the boxes to help organize mija's drawers. I get sooooo tired of hearing, "I can't find any socks." or "I can't find any panties." So now, those items are stored in a Cutie box!

Here's one of the drawers with the box in it.

Nothing fancy, but definitely needed and an easy, re-use organizer!
