The past 2 years has been, well, very challenging. Here are the highlights.
- Foreclosure
- Diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes
- Husband unemployed after 12 years on the job
- Repo of one vehicle
- Husband got a job paying half of previous job
- Repo of second vehicle, no vehicle
- Purchased a van with tax refund as down payment
- Husband let go of new job a week after we purchased the van.
- My step-father died three days after my husband lost his job.
- Husband got another job paying less than half what he was making
- Finally get the guts to check my blood sugar only to find it's astronomical. (One morning is was over 400...could have gone into a coma but thankfully didn't)
- Husband let go of new job after a month.
I think I got everything. In fact, the last half of these bullets happened in the last 3-4 months. The last bullet happened yesterday.
{sigh}
If you're out there, could you pray for us? Also, could you please comment with some Bible verse(s) that encourages you. I'm trying to focus up instead of horizontal, so any promises that can help me do that would be great.

Okay, so honestly this is one I just found, but it speaks to me for both of us Betsy. Not just financially, but spiritually as well for me. Know the LORD is always thinking of you and Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." We don't know what the LORD's plan is, but He does. Praying He'll quickly provide another job for Mike. Thinking and praying for you!

So sorry to hear of all your struggles. Here is a verse that I have been focusing on alot lately. Maybe it will be helpful for you, too.

Betsy, Wow I'm thinking about the saying when it rains it pours. Sounds like you are in the midst of a terrible storm. Yet I know God sees you, and He has the plans He's made for you. I've always known you to be a very positive loving and truly kind woman. The scripture that helps me is from James.
James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
I struggle with this at times. But then I remember that ultimately God is in control. He sees you, and He has made a promise to make a way. To provide for you. To bring you up out of the pit. My prayers are with you and Mike. I love you my sister!
