Another Money Making Site--Updated

I've shared before about how I pick up some cash or gift cards.

I use...

Shop online, earn gift cards!

I've found a new one I'm starting on called SendEarnings.
* Read emails
* Take surveys
* Play games
* Shop online
* Redeem coupons & more!

This one is like InboxDollars because you earn cash. Oh, and there's a $5 signup bonus when you join!!

There are affiliate links in this post. If you join any of the sites, I earn a little cash. It's a win-win situation! ;-)

Making Money Using Apps

Last week, I shared my love for saving and making money. I mentioned that today I would share some way to actually make money when shopping.

I've mentioned previously some ways to make money while you are online. If you haven't started doing that, I suggest those as well. I have a $40 check from InboxDollars and have been adding up my Swagbucks and MyPoints since Christmas.
Well, today I'm going to share some ways I've been making money while buying groceries.

First, I found Ibotta. Here's the facts from their website.

  • Choose your favorite rebates and unlock them by completing fun tasks. Rebates expire so don't forget to redeem them before they're gone!
  • After shopping, tap on Redeem to verify your purchases.
  • The best part about Ibotta is that you earn real money, not points or other made-up currencies. 100% of your earnings can be transferred to PayPal or Venmo as soon as you’ve earned $5.
Ibotta does not only groceries but also restaurants, movies and more.

SavingStar, Inc. Save on groceries with no clipping and no printing todayNext, I found SavingStar.com. I use it more for the groceries but it also offers cash for some online purchases and such. Each week they offer 20% on a certain produce and each weekend there is one small item offered for free. It is linked to your loyalty card, but you don't have to upload a picture of receipt. You can get your cash after $5.

My latest discovery is Checkout 51. Unlike Ibotta and SavingStar, Checkout 51 is not linked to a store loyalty card. Also, you can earn $2.00 just by doing your first rebate! You just have to upload a photo of your receipt. You have to wait until you have $20.00 before you can cash out and get a check.

Now, here is how you can REALLY save.

Say bananas are on sale at HyVee.
This week, there was a coupon for $0.50 off coupon of fruit. On top off that, Checkout 51 is offering $0.50 cash back and SavingStar is giving 20% cash back.

Or take the Belvita I purchased last week. I had a coupon for $1.00 off two. I earned $0.50 from SavingStar and $.50 from Ibotta.  That's $2.00 I saved/earned from that purchase. That means I basically paid only for one box.

So, that's how I've been making money while I've been saving money!

All these are affiliate links except for Checkout 51. That means if you join I will earn a little cash.

How I am making a little extra cash---Join Me (Updated)

Things are tight financially here, and I'm sure we're not the only one. I spend a few additional minutes online to help my family out. Let me tell you about them and maybe you can benefit as well.

For example at Christmas, I managed to give one of my nephews a $25 gift certificate for GameStop and the other a $25 gift certificate for Target. I paid NOTHING. That's right. I gave $50 in gifts which cost me $0.00.

Here are the two programs I used to accomplish this.

With SwagBucks, I usually do the daily survey, watch videos, and occasionally sign up for something. I also use it as my search engine to win extra points. It costs nothing to join, and I've never had trouble getting any of my rewards. Here's another example of how I've scored using SwagBucks.

The other program I use frequently is MyPoints. I click links in emails to earn an easy 5 points almost every time. They sometimes offer points for playing their games. MyPoints also works with Coupons.com to give you 10 points for every coupon you print and redeem.

In another program I recently joined, I earn actual cash. In fact, when you join InboxDollars for free the program gives you $5.00 credit to start you out. This one sends emails like the previous one. Each paid email earns you $0.02 just for clicking the link. I've even made money just listening to their radio stations!

These are affiliate are program links, so if you click and join, I'll make make a little cash or earn some points or bucks! You can do the same once you join and share with friends.
Next time, I'll let you know how I've been earning some money on my purchases.

SwagBucks...a poor mom's friend!

Things have be VERY, EXTREMELY, tight around here. As mija likes to say, "We're uber-poor."

I'm so thankful for programs like SwagBucks!

Swagbucks.com is an online portal dedicated to helping you earn digital dollars called “Swag Bucks”, which can be redeemed for exclusive Swagbucks.com merchandise. Things like PayPal and Amazon gift cards, toys, clothes, collectibles, games, electronics and more… Swagbucks.com is a 100% free, no strings attached, free prizes, no shipping charges, no membership fee’s. Swagbucks.com has already rewarded over a million users with Amazon.com gift cards, and all kinds of quality products, to members across the United states, Canada and UK.

Let me tell you how it helped me recently.

Somehow during the move, I've misplaced my glucose monitor test strips.  You know, the ones I use to test my blood sugar. Well, those suckers things cost over $100 for 100 and over $50 for 50.

After checking several places online after overcoming the shock at the pharmacy, I ended up on Amazon.  Amazon sells everything you know!

And look what I found...

That's right. I found the strips for only $22 for a box of 50 with FREE shipping.  MUCH BETTER.

But wait! I still didn't have the money to even purchase them at $22.  That's when I went to SwagBucks.  You see, I had earned enough SwagBucks through  doing online searches, polls, watching videos, etc., so I could purchase a $50 Amazon gift card FOR FREE.

So, here's how it worked.

  • Earned my Swagbucks for the things I do online anyway.
  • Use my SwagBucks to get a $50 gift card.
  • Use my gift card to purchase my test strips for half-price.
  • Score a little money on Amazon for my purchase since I'm an Amazon affiliate.
So, that is how I used SwagBucks to get my test strips for FREE!!
I've also used my rewards for gifts, gas, and much more!
Join me at Swagbucks! It's FREE and you get FREE things.

Did you get the FREE part?

Making and Saving Money--the blog way

You may not know this, but I blog for the fun of it.  I enjoy sharing things I find and appreciate the opportunity to strengthen and grow my writing abilities.

Another interest I have is saving my family money.  I used to blog about my coupon and saving deals on my other blog, but I started sharing more about it here.

Regardless of my blogging topic, I generally don't get paid.  My blogging isn't a money making activity.  My reviews sometimes bless me with a free product, but no moola.  In fact, it costs me to blog.  It costs me time; time that could be used for my home, family or educating responsibilities.

My husband is fine with it because he feels I need to opportunity to write and to network.  That's a BIG encouragement.

Sometimes, however, I feel badly about what it's costing my family, so I try to use this forum to make a little money.

That is why I started sharing things on this blog that deal with coupons or great deals.  For instance, each week I post the Sunday insert preview which looks like this:

Every time someone clicks it to check, I earn a few pennies.

Or when I shared about the cool Vistaprint deals like the personalized stockings, I earn a little bit if you click my link and purchase one.  I only earn if you go through my links, however.

I earn a little bit if you click my Amazon link on the sidebar and purchase anything.  Or sign up for Swagbucks (which I highly recommend!) Or print a coupon from Coupons.com.

And I've made myself a promise, that I wouldn't share anything that I either haven't used or wouldn't use or at least try.  For instance, there are TONS of survey and credit card things that I could share for a few bucks, but I don't trust them and wouldn't use them even though my sources are reliable.

Burst Purple sale left purpleAll that to say, if you have any inkling of interest in what coupons are coming up, joining Swagbucks, or anything else I share, it would bless me greatly if you clicked my links.

I'm trying to offer you opportunities and help my family a bit at the same time!

Couponing---part of my home life if you couldn't tell

My original blog was my coupon blog.  I've expanded it some to include money saving and such.  I've started linking my blog posts over to this blog as well.  I'm sure you've noticed.  Well, at least I hope you've noticed!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know officially that I've been doing that because as this blog has expanded to home in general, I felt my couponing things applied as well.  If you like my blog more for the home education aspects, well, consider my couponing as teaching thrift to my daughter!

So,  I'll continue to send links over here when I post over there just in case you're interested.  I'll also post a few links on my side bar that I find helpful in being the homemaker God wants me to be.  So far, I've added Swag bucks (which I've also used to get free curriculum) and Coupons.com (which I've also used to get free or really cheap school supplies).  See!  A woman's life is like a plate of spaghetti.  Every strand touches and connects with everything else!

Also, for those in the area.  My coupon class at church has been rescheduled until Monday, Aug. 15 which is next Monday.  I'm calling it "Not Extreme Couponing".    It will cover just the basics, but you can run with it and become as extreme as you'd like!
