Hannukah starts Saturday evening--history, crafts and more!

Hanukkah starts this Saturday night, December 8th and ends Sunday evening, December 16th.

That's right. In case you are not familiar with it, this Jewish holiday lasts for eight days. It celebrates a miracle that occurred between the Old Testament and New Testament.



Specifically, they had oil to burn before God for only one day, but God allowed it to last eight days while they consecrated more oil and cleaned the temple!
